Tarte rainforest of the sea concealer has ten shades, which isn’t a lot. It costs $25 and is a lightweight, medium coverage, concealer that supposed to last for twelve hours. This is a hydrating concealer, so it works better for people with dry to normal skin.
I’ve used the same concealer for over a year and have’t been trying new ones. Recently I’ve had really bad dark circles under my eyes and my usual concealer hasn’t been able to cover them. I found this one while at Sephora and unfortunately they were out of my shade; I made a second trip and they had one left in my shade! I guess this is a really popular concealer, because I’ve never had this problem at Sephora.
They have a shade that’s light enough for me, so I was immediately excited to try it out. I have dry skin and concealer and foundation often look patchy. This has really good coverage and is great at brightening up my under eyes. I’ve been wearing this in photographs over the past two weeks and it looks so good in pictures. I also used it to cut my crease a few times and it worked quite well, but I like to use something with more coverage for that. Even though it’s medium coverage the formal doesn’t feel heavy or look cakey. I wore this for 16 hours and it did crease and some came off, but I usually don’t wear my makeup for more than 6 hours and it definitely held up for the first 6 to 7 hours. As long as I set it it doesn’t crease and it’s easy to blend. Their aren’t a lot of negatives with this product. The applicator can be difficult to use, but I can just put it on the back of my hand and use a brush if I need to be more precise. I have really dry skin and this concealer works well for me, but it has not worked for everyone with oily skin that I have talked to about it. It’s very common for certain concealers and foundations to work better for either people with oily or dry skin. It also doesn’t build well, it begins to crease if I try to build the coverage.
